Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HYD-PEP06 is a peptide-based therapeutic candidate developed by Zhuhai Tengbai Pharmaceutical for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. It functions as an antagonist of Programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), a key immune checkpoint protein often overexpressed by tumor cells to evade immune detection. By binding to PD-L1, HYD-PEP06 disrupts the PD-1/PD-L1 signaling axis, thereby reactivating suppressed T cells and promoting an anti-tumor immune response. As a peptide modality, it is designed to provide better tissue penetration compared to traditional monoclonal antibodies while maintaining high specificity and potentially lower immunogenicity. It is currently being evaluated in early-phase clinical trials in China.
