Overview

**HydARO** is a proprietary, oral fixed-dose combination of hydrocodone bitartrate and disulfiram being developed by SafeRx Pharmaceuticals as an alcohol-resistant opioid product. Hydrocodone is intended to provide analgesia through agonism of the mu-type opioid receptor, while disulfiram inhibits aldehyde dehydrogenase and is intended to discourage concurrent alcohol consumption. SafeRx identifies HydARO as an investigational product for moderate-to-severe pain and opioid use disorder.
