Chlorpheniramine maleate is a first-generation alkylamine antihistamine that provides relief from symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, and lacrimation by competitively antagonizing H1 histamine receptors. Tusicof is indicated for the symptomatic relief of cough and upper respiratory symptoms associated with the common cold or allergic rhinitis in adults and pediatric patients aged 6 years and older.
