Its mechanism of action involves the induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins (lipocortins), which suppress the release of arachidonic acid from membrane phospholipids—thereby reducing the biosynthesis of pro-inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes[1][3][4][5].
