Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ialuxid is a topical combination therapy consisting of hydrogen peroxide, hyaluronic acid, and glycine, formulated as the proprietary Ialuvance Complex. Developed by Mastelli, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions such as acne vulgaris and folliculitis, as well as minor cutaneous infections like impetigo and paronychia. The hydrogen peroxide component serves as a broad-spectrum oxidizing antiseptic that reduces bacterial load without the risk of antibiotic resistance. Hyaluronic acid promotes wound healing and skin hydration by interacting with the CD44 receptor, while glycine provides essential amino acid support for tissue regeneration and collagen synthesis. The product is also available in a mouthwash formulation for oral inflammatory conditions like gingivitis.
