Talsil Forte is an oral combination medication containing hydrotalcite, an antacid, and simethicone, an antifoaming agent. Developed and marketed by Juggat Pharma, it is indicated for the symptomatic relief of gastrointestinal disorders associated with hyperacidity and excess gas, including heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acute and chronic gastritis, acid dyspepsia, peptic ulcers, and flatulence. Hydrotalcite works by neutralizing excess gastric acid and raising stomach pH, while simethicone reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the gut, facilitating their coalescence and easy passage. This dual-action formulation is available as oral suspensions and chewable tablets.
