Hydrovag

Hydrovag is a vaginal medical device developed by IBSS Biomed S.A. (Biomed-Lublin) in Poland, formulated as vaginal suppositories (globules). It is designed to alleviate symptoms of vaginal dryness and support the regeneration of the vaginal mucosa. The product contains three key active components: sodium hyaluronate (10 mg), glycogen, and lactic acid. Hydrovag works through a physical mechanism of action by forming a protective, moisturizing coating on the vaginal epithelium, which facilitates tissue repair and helps maintain a physiological acidic pH. It is indicated for vaginal dryness and discomfort caused by estrogen deficiency (particularly during perimenopause), vaginal atrophy, and painful intercourse (dyspareunia). Additionally, it is used to support the recovery of the vaginal epithelium following childbirth, gynecological procedures, or oncological treatments such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
