Hydroxyapatite gel is a topical dental and medical product containing synthetic or naturally derived hydroxyapatite (Ca₁₀(PO₄)₆(OH)₂), the primary mineral component of human bone and tooth enamel. In dentistry, hydroxyapatite gel is used for remineralizing tooth enamel, reducing dentin hypersensitivity, preventing cavities, and supporting oral tissue regeneration. It works by depositing biomimetic mineral crystals onto the tooth surface to repair microscopic defects in enamel and dentin. Hydroxyapatite also exhibits antibacterial properties that help reduce harmful oral bacteria associated with caries formation. In addition to dental applications, hydroxyapatite gels are used in orthopedics as bone graft materials or coatings for implants due to their biocompatibility and ability to promote bone growth[1][2][3][4][5]. In aesthetic medicine, calcium hydroxyapatite gels are injected as dermal fillers to stimulate collagen production and restore facial volume[8].
