Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hylo Grev is a topical ophthalmic lubricant developed and marketed by Grevis Pharmaceuticals in India. Its active ingredient is sodium hyaluronate (0.1% w/v), a naturally occurring biopolymer that acts as a viscoelastic lubricant. The product is indicated for the treatment of dry eye syndrome (keratoconjunctivitis sicca) and ocular surface lubrication. It works by forming a stable, long-lasting, and moisture-retaining protective layer over the ocular surface, mimicking the function of natural tears without binding to a specific molecular receptor. The formulation is typically supplied as eye drops in a 10ml bottle and may contain sodium perborate as a preservative to maintain sterility.
