Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hynic bombesine (HYNIC-bombesin) is a peptide radiopharmaceutical active ingredient developed by Aprin Sama Pharmed. It consists of the bombesin peptide conjugated to the bifunctional chelator 2-hydrazinonicotinamide (HYNIC). Bombesin is a 14-amino acid peptide with high affinity for the gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR), which is overexpressed in various malignant tumors, including prostate and breast cancers. Hynic bombesine is designed to be readily labeled with radionuclides such as technetium-99m (99mTc) or rhenium-188 (188Re) for diagnostic imaging or targeted radionuclide therapy of GRPR-positive tumors.
