Hyper-NC

Hyper-NC is a topical ophthalmic solution containing hypertonic sodium chloride, developed and marketed by Grevis Pharma. It is primarily indicated for the temporary relief of corneal edema and the reduction of epithelial swelling. The drug operates through a physical osmotic mechanism rather than binding to a specific molecular receptor. By increasing the tonicity of the tear film, it creates an osmotic gradient that draws excess fluid out of the edematous corneal epithelium and stroma. This reduction in swelling helps improve visual clarity and alleviate discomfort associated with conditions such as Fuchs' endothelial dystrophy or post-surgical corneal edema.
