Hyperimmune globulin mimic is an experimental **biologic immunotherapy** developed by Kleo Pharmaceuticals using its MATE technology platform as a synthetic replacement for convalescent serum in COVID-19. The product is created by site-directed chemical conjugation of SARS-CoV-2 spike protein binding moieties onto a commercially available intravenous immunoglobulin plasma product, generating a homogeneous, targeted hyperimmune globulin-like therapeutic. It is intended to treat SARS-CoV-2 infection through multimodal mechanisms that include direct viral neutralization, promotion of viral clearance through innate immune effector functions, and potential longer-term vaccination-like immune effects; Kleo described the construct as containing mixed IgG1, IgG2, and IgG4 antibodies rather than a single monoclonal antibody subclass.
