Allergovit is a subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (SCIT) product developed by Allergopharma Joachim Ganzer KG. It consists of a hypoallergenic allergoid extract derived from a mixture of six grass pollen species (*Holcus lanatus*, *Dactylis glomerata*, *Lolium perenne*, *Phleum pratense*, *Poa pratensis*, and *Festuca pratensis*) and rye pollen (*Secale cereale*). The allergens are chemically modified with formaldehyde to reduce their IgE-binding capacity (allergenicity) while preserving their ability to induce a protective immune response (immunogenicity). The extract is co-precipitated with aluminium hydroxide, which acts as an adjuvant to provide a depot effect for sustained release. It is indicated for the treatment of IgE-mediated allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, and allergic asthma induced by grass and rye pollen, typically administered in a preseasonal regimen to induce immune tolerance.
