Overview

Hypoestoxide (HE) is a natural diterpene and an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) isolated and purified from the herbal plant Hypoestes rosea. It is characterized by a complex bicyclo [9,3,1] pentadecane ring system, two epoxide moieties, an alpha beta-unsaturated ketone, an acetylated alcohol group, and seven stereo centers, making it non-synthesizable in the laboratory. Hypoestoxide exhibits a range of biological activities, including anti-malarial, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-viral, and anti-Parkinson's disease properties. It is considered non-toxic and non-mutagenic. Developed by Immune Modulation, Inc., it is being investigated for its therapeutic potential in various conditions.
