hypromellose + inositol

MERAMIRT is a sterile ophthalmic solution formulated as a Class IIa medical device for the management of dry eye disease and ocular surface disorders. It contains a combination of hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) and inositol. Hypromellose acts as a lubricant and viscosity-enhancing agent that stabilizes the tear film and increases the contact time of the solution on the ocular surface. Inositol is included to support ocular surface hydration and assist in the management of symptoms associated with asthenopia (eye strain) and accommodative effort. The product is indicated for the hydration and lubrication of the ocular surface under conditions of stress caused by environmental, visual, or mechanical factors.
