Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HYX1-derived exosomes (HYX1-Exos) are extracellular vesicles derived from the human liver stem cell line HYX1. They are being developed for the treatment of acute liver failure (ALF). The therapeutic mechanism of HYX1-derived exosomes involves the delivery of protective microRNA cargoes, specifically miR-4492 and miR-4508. These microRNAs target and inhibit IQGAP1 (IQ motif containing GTPase activating protein 1) and SLC7A11 (solute carrier family 7 member 11), thereby suppressing disulfidptosis (a form of programmed cell death) and mitigating hepatocyte damage.
