Drug intelligence / Profile preview
I-Cross is a lubricating ophthalmic solution (artificial tear) composed of cross-linked sodium hyaluronate (typically 0.20%). Unlike traditional linear hyaluronic acid, the cross-linked form of hyaluronate in I-Cross offers significantly higher viscoelasticity and mucoadhesiveness, making it more resistant to enzymatic degradation by hyaluronidase. This allows the solution to form a more stable and persistent protective film on the ocular surface, effectively stabilizing the tear film and providing prolonged relief from symptoms of moderate to severe dry eye (keratoconjunctivitis sicca). It is frequently used to manage chronic ocular surface irritation, environmental stress, or post-operative recovery, such as following refractive or cataract surgery.
