Drug intelligence / Profile preview
I-DROP MGD is a preservative-free, viscoadaptive artificial tear developed by I-MED Pharma specifically for the management of evaporative dry eye disease, particularly that associated with Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). The formulation features a high-molecular-weight sodium hyaluronate (0.20%) combined with a lipid-layer enhancer. This combination is designed to stabilize the tear film, reduce evaporation, and provide long-lasting ocular surface lubrication. Unlike standard artificial tears, its viscoadaptive properties allow the drop to remain on the eye longer, providing symptomatic relief for moderate to severe dry eye symptoms by mimicking the natural tear film's lipid layer.
