Drug intelligence / Profile preview
i-Flex is a dietary supplement combination consisting of rose hips extract, a berry extract blend (blueberry and blackberry), and Resveravine, a proprietary grapevine extract. It is primarily marketed for the maintenance of joint health and flexibility. The rose hips component is typically standardized for galactolipids (such as GOPO), which are believed to inhibit the chemotaxis of polymorphonuclear leukocytes, thereby reducing joint inflammation. The berry extracts provide anthocyanins, which serve as potent antioxidants to neutralize reactive oxygen species in joint tissues. Resveravine is a specific extract from *Vitis vinifera* (grapevine stalks) that contains high concentrations of trans-resveratrol and viniferins (specifically epsilon-viniferin), which act as anti-inflammatory agents by modulating NF-κB and COX-2 signaling pathways.
