Overview
I-VU Omega-3 is an oral liquid nutritional supplement developed by I-MED Pharma specifically for the management of dry eye syndrome and ocular surface disease. The formulation contains a high concentration of omega-3 fatty acids, including eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and docosapentaenoic acid (DPA), provided in the re-esterified triglyceride form for enhanced bioavailability. It also includes gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) from borage oil and vitamin D3. The supplement works by reducing systemic and ocular inflammation and supporting the health of the ocular surface, which leads to improved tear film stability, decreased tear evaporation, and increased tear secretion. It is approved by Health Canada as a nutritional support for ocular health.
