Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IA-14069 is a novel small molecule inhibitor of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), developed by iLab Co., Ltd. It acts by directly binding to TNF-α and inhibiting its activity, thereby reducing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. This mechanism confers anti-inflammatory properties, making IA-14069 a potential therapeutic agent for immune-mediated diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Preclinical studies have demonstrated that IA-14069 potently inhibits TNF-α-induced cytotoxicity and signaling pathways (including p-IκBα and NF-κB p65) both in vitro and in vivo. The drug has shown therapeutic as well as preventive effects in animal models of RA, with synergistic efficacy when combined with methotrexate. Clinical trials are ongoing to evaluate its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary efficacy in healthy subjects and patients with RA[1][2][7][8].
