Overview

iACT (induced Allogeneic Cell Tolerance) Stealth Cells are a proprietary cell therapy platform developed by Pluristyx, exclusively licensed from Sinai Health System. The technology utilizes genetic engineering and gene editing of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to create cells that can evade the recipient's immune system. By providing antigenic escape, the iACT platform enables the manufacturing of universal, off-the-shelf cell and organ therapies that avoid immune detection, potentially eliminating the need for patient-specific HLA matching or long-term immunosuppressive drugs. This technology is often combined with FailSafe® technology to enhance safety and is being developed for a wide range of aggressive or debilitating diseases, including cancer, diabetes, stroke, and cardiac infarction.
