Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ialuvit is a preservative-free ophthalmic solution medical device developed by Alfa Intes, specifically formulated for corneal neuro-protection and ocular surface stabilization. The product contains a combination of sodium hyaluronate (0.5%), cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12, 0.05%), and taurine (0.5%). Sodium hyaluronate acts as a mucomimetic lubricant that stabilizes the tear film and reduces friction on the ocular surface. Cyanocobalamin and taurine provide neurotrophic support to corneal nerves and facilitate the re-epithelialization process of the cornea. Formulated as a hypotonic solution, Ialuvit helps counteract tear film hyperosmolarity and maintains physiological levels of essential ions like sodium, potassium, and magnesium. It is indicated for conditions involving corneal nerve damage, lacrimal dysfunction, and ocular surface stress.
