IAMA-005 is a long-acting, novel recombinant fusion protein consisting of a modified interleukin-2 (IL-2) and interferon-alpha (IFN-α) fused to an Fc domain. Developed by Nanjing JSIAMA Biopharmaceuticals, the molecule is designed with specific mutations to reduce the systemic toxicities historically associated with high-dose IL-2 and IFN-α therapies while maintaining potent anti-tumor activity. Preclinically, IAMA-005 has demonstrated robust tumor cell-killing efficacy across various cancer cell lines and patient-derived malignant pleural effusion and ascites samples, both as a monotherapy and in combination with other immunotherapies such as the HER2-targeted tri-specific antibody IAMA-004.
