IAR129

IAR129 is a novel bispecific antibody developed by Innovent Biologics for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. It is designed to simultaneously target and block two distinct pathways involved in the pathogenesis of inflammatory and allergic diseases: the interleukin-4 receptor alpha (IL-4Rα) and the OX40 ligand (OX40L). By inhibiting IL-4Rα, IAR129 blocks signaling of both IL-4 and IL-13, which are key drivers of Type 2 inflammation. Concurrently, by targeting OX40L, it modulates T-cell activation and survival, potentially providing a more comprehensive therapeutic effect than single-target agents. As of 2025, the drug is in preclinical development, with research results being presented at major scientific conferences such as the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Congress.
