Overview

IASO-0118 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting G-protein coupled receptor class C group 5 member D (GPRC5D). Developed by IASO Bio (formerly Nanjing Reindeer Medical Technology), it is designed for the treatment of patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM), including those who have failed four or more prior lines of therapy. GPRC5D is a cell surface orphan receptor highly and specifically expressed on malignant plasma cells, making it an ideal target for CAR-T therapy to minimize off-target effects. The therapy involves genetically modifying a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that recognizes GPRC5D, which then mediates the destruction of myeloma cells upon re-infusion. IASO-0118 is currently in early-stage development, following IND-enabling studies.
