Overview

IASO-782 is a fully human monoclonal antibody developed by IASO Biotechnology that targets the human CD19 antigen. It is engineered with Fc mutations to enhance antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) while preserving other Fc functions such as antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP), complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), and neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) binding. CD19 is expressed throughout B cell development, from pre-B cells through plasmablasts and some plasma cells. By depleting CD19+ B cells, plasmablasts, and certain plasma cells, IASO-782 reduces or eliminates auto-reactive antibodies produced by these pathogenic cells. This mechanism positions the drug as a potential treatment for various autoimmune diseases associated with auto-reactive antibodies, including primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia (wAIHA), and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). As a fully human antibody, it has low immunogenicity and is suitable for long-term repeated administration in chronic autoimmune conditions[1][2][4][5][6][7].
