Overview

IASO104 is a fully human B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA)-targeted chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy. It is an autologous immunotherapy where a patient's own T-cells are genetically modified to express a CAR that recognizes and binds to BCMA, a protein highly expressed on the surface of malignant plasma cells. Developed by the Institute of Hematology & Blood Diseases Hospital in China, IASO104 is being investigated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory plasma cell neoplasms, including multiple myeloma and plasma cell leukemia. The therapy aims to induce a targeted immune response against cancer cells, leading to their destruction.
