IAVI G001

IAVI G001 is an experimental **germline-targeting HIV vaccine regimen component** evaluated in a first-in-human Phase 1 study conducted by IAVI in collaboration with Scripps Research. The vaccine uses **eOD-GT8 60mer**, a recombinant engineered outer-domain HIV envelope protein nanoparticle immunogen, formulated with the **AS01B** adjuvant, to prime rare **VRC01-class naive B-cell precursors** that can mature toward production of broadly neutralizing antibodies against HIV. Mechanistically, it is designed to engage B cells recognizing the **HIV-1 envelope CD4-binding site**, representing an early priming step in a multi-stage vaccination strategy intended for prevention of **HIV infection**.
