Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The IAX35-Series is a preclinical-stage small molecule GIP receptor (GIP-R) antagonist being developed by InterAx Biotech. Designed for oral, once-daily administration, it is primarily targeted at treating obesity, type 2 diabetes (T2D), and sarcopenia. The compound is intended to be used in combination with GLP-1 receptor agonists, such as InterAx's IAX30-Series, to enhance weight management, improve tolerability by reducing gastrointestinal side effects, and prevent muscle loss (sarcopenia) during weight reduction. InterAx Biotech utilizes a proprietary platform combining machine learning and mathematical modeling of cellular processes to optimize these GPCR-targeted candidates.
