Overview

IB001 is a lead candidate anti-BAG3 antibody developed by Intrepida Bio for the treatment of cancer, specifically pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The technology, targeting BAG3 and its receptor IFITM-2, was discovered at the University of Salerno and in-licensed by Intrepida Bio from Biouniversa s.r.l. Intrepida Bio launched in October 2019 with a $9.5 million equity investment to fund IND-enabling studies for IB001, with a goal to initiate clinical trials in 2021.
