Overview

IBA-Cu-phen is a ternary copper (II) complex that has demonstrated potent anticancer activity in human breast cancer cells. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the proteasome by binding to the β5 subunit of the 20S proteasome, which leads to the deactivation of the proteasome and subsequent tumor cell death.
