IBA101 is a next-generation CD47-blocking monoclonal antibody being developed as an immuno-oncology therapy to enhance macrophage-mediated tumor clearance and antitumor T-cell responses while minimizing hematologic toxicity. It is engineered to avoid binding to red blood cells and platelets, thereby reducing the severe anemia and thrombocytopenia seen with first-generation CD47 inhibitors from other companies, and has shown a favorable safety profile in non-human primate studies at doses up to 100 mg/kg/week without clinically meaningful reductions in hemoglobin or platelet counts.[1][5][7][9] By blocking the CD47 “don’t eat me” signal on tumor cells, IBA101 aims to augment innate immune recognition and antigen presentation, and is being advanced by Liminatus Pharma with plans for first-in-human Phase 1 trials in solid tumors through collaborations in the United States and Korea.[1][5][6][8]
