IBI3027

IBI3027 is a recombinant human monoclonal antibody developed by Innovent Biologics as a biosimilar candidate for dupilumab (Dupixent). It specifically targets and binds to the interleukin-4 receptor alpha (IL-4Rα) subunit, which is a shared component of the interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13) receptor complexes. By blocking this subunit, IBI3027 inhibits the signaling pathways of both IL-4 and IL-13, which are key drivers of Type 2 (Th2) inflammation. This mechanism is effective in treating various allergic and inflammatory conditions, most notably atopic dermatitis. Clinical development has included Phase I trials in healthy volunteers to evaluate its bioequivalence, safety, and pharmacokinetics compared to the reference product, Dupixent.
