Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IBSolution is a probiotic blend composed of four specific bacterial strains: *Lactobacillus plantarum* CECT30292, *Lactobacillus plantarum* CECT7484, *Lactobacillus plantarum* CECT7485, and *Pediococcus acidilactici* CECT7483. Developed and supplied by AB-Biotics SA, it is marketed as a food supplement for managing symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The blend, typically containing 3 billion colony-forming units (CFU), works by targeting and restoring intestinal permeability and reducing inflammation. Clinical studies have shown its potential to enhance the actin cytoskeleton and upregulate CYP1A1 expression, contributing to improved gut barrier function. [6, 7, 8] Beyond IBS, it has been investigated for its benefits in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), fructose intolerance, and migraine with concurrent IBS. [9, 12, 18]
