Overview

IBT1116 is an investigational allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Immunebro Therapeutics for the treatment of B-cell malignancies, including B-cell lymphoma and leukemia. As an "off-the-shelf" product, IBT1116 is derived from healthy donor T cells rather than the patient's own cells, which allows for immediate availability and standardized manufacturing. The therapy is engineered to express a CAR that specifically targets the CD19 antigen, a protein found on the surface of most B-cell lineage cells. To ensure safety and prevent graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) in an allogeneic setting, the T cells are typically modified to eliminate the endogenous T-cell receptor (TCR). The program is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
