Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Ibupirac** is a branded formulation of **ibuprofen**, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) marketed in countries such as Argentina and Uruguay for analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic use.[2][3] Ibuprofen acts primarily through reversible inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, leading to decreased synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate pain, inflammation, and fever.[1][5][7] Ibupirac products are used for mild to moderate pain (including headache, migraine, dental pain, dysmenorrhea, musculoskeletal and rheumatic pain), symptomatic relief of cold and flu, and reduction of fever in adults and pediatric patients, with various oral formulations (e.g., tablets, coated tablets, suspensions) tailored for general and specialized indications such as menstrual pain or musculoskeletal pain.[2][3][8][10][12]
