IC01 is an allogeneic immune cell therapy developed by Hangzhou Converd Co., Ltd. for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. The therapy involves the administration of immune cells, such as cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells or other peripheral blood mononuclear cells, harvested from a healthy relative of the patient. This allogeneic approach is designed to leverage the graft-versus-tumor effect and the innate cytotoxic potential of the donor cells to target malignant cells that may have evaded the patient's own immune system. In clinical settings, IC01 is primarily evaluated as part of a combination regimen with other anticancer agents, such as the medication designated as A01 (often identified as the VEGFR inhibitor apatinib), to potentially achieve synergistic anti-tumor activity and overcome the immunosuppressive microenvironment of solid tumors.
