The ICAIT DC Vaccine is an autologous dendritic cell-based immunotherapy developed by ImmunoRestoration for the treatment of HER-2-positive ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Utilizing the proprietary ICAIT™ (Immune Conditioning via Activated Innate Transfer) platform, the therapy involves harvesting a patient's own dendritic cells and pulsing them with HER-2 peptide antigens. These activated cells are then re-administered to the patient to prime and stimulate a HER-2-specific T-cell immune response. The vaccine targets HER-2/neu over-expression, which plays a critical role in the progression from DCIS to invasive breast cancer. Clinical studies have demonstrated the vaccine's ability to eliminate HER-2 expression in DCIS lesions and induce pathologic complete responses.
