Drug intelligence / Profile preview
iCAMP016 is an antimicrobial peptide (AMP) vaginal gel being developed by Shenzhen iCarbonX Peptide Drug Technology (深圳碳云智肽药物科技有限公司) for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis (BV). As an antimicrobial peptide, iCAMP016 is designed to address vaginal dysbiosis by selectively targeting and disrupting the cell membranes of pathogenic bacteria associated with BV, such as *Gardnerella vaginalis*, while potentially preserving the beneficial *Lactobacillus*-dominant microbiota. The drug is currently in Phase Ia clinical development (CTR20261394), where it is being evaluated in healthy adult women to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and its impact on the vaginal microbial environment.
