ICAR30 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Immune Cell, Inc. for the treatment of CD30-positive hematologic malignancies. The therapy utilizes the patient's own T cells, which are genetically engineered to express a CAR targeting the CD30 (TNFRSF8) antigen, a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily frequently overexpressed in Hodgkin lymphoma and anaplastic large cell lymphoma. Upon infusion, these modified T cells recognize and bind to CD30-expressing tumor cells, triggering T-cell activation, proliferation, and cytotoxic activity. ICAR30 is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to assess its safety and efficacy in patients with relapsed or refractory disease.
