Overview

ICG165 is an investigational anti-CD33 chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory CD33-positive acute myeloid leukemia (AML).[9][10][12][11] Autologous T cells are collected from the patient, genetically engineered ex vivo to express a CAR targeting the myeloid cell surface antigen CD33, expanded, and then reinfused to mediate targeted cytotoxicity against CD33-expressing leukemic blasts. The program is currently in early-phase clinical evaluation to assess safety, tolerability, and preliminary antileukemic activity in heavily pretreated CD33-positive AML.
