Overview
ICG318 is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy developed for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), particularly in patients with refractory disease. The product is a CAR-T cell injection, and its mechanism involves genetically engineered T cells designed to target specific immune components implicated in SLE pathogenesis. The therapy aims to deplete autoreactive B cells and plasma cells, thereby reducing autoantibody production and resetting humoral immunity. Clinical trials are ongoing to evaluate its safety, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, immunogenicity, and preliminary efficacy in adult patients with difficult-to-treat SLE[1].
