Drug intelligence / Profile preview
iChondrocytes is an autologous cell therapy candidate being developed by Factor Biosciences. The therapy utilizes induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) that are differentiated into chondrocytes using the company's proprietary mRNA-based cellular reprogramming and gene-editing technologies. iChondrocytes is intended to treat various conditions characterized by cartilage degradation or injury, such as osteoarthritis or focal cartilage defects, by providing a source of patient-specific cells for cartilage regeneration. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
