iCo-009 + iCo-019

iCo-009 + iCo-019 is a combination of two proprietary oral formulations of amphotericin B developed by iCo Therapeutics as part of its oral amphotericin B program for systemic fungal and parasitic infections. iCo-009 is an earlier oral reformulation of amphotericin B, while iCo-019 is a later Peceol-based lipid formulation that markedly increases amphotericin B solubility and enables oral delivery with systemic exposure and a favorable safety profile compared with parenteral amphotericin B. Both formulations are designed to deliver amphotericin B systemically via the oral route to treat systemic fungal infections and potentially other amphotericin B-responsive diseases, aiming to retain the broad-spectrum fungicidal activity of amphotericin B while reducing nephrotoxicity and infusion-related toxicity associated with intravenous formulations.[1][2][3][5]
