Overview

iCP-RFs + Cas9 (also known as iCP-Cas9) is an experimental therapeutic candidate developed by Cellivery Therapeutics that combines gene editing and cell reprogramming capabilities. The product utilizes the company's proprietary Tissue-Permeable Signal Transduction Therapy (TSDT) platform, which employs an Advanced Macromolecule Transduction Domain (aMTD) to facilitate the direct intracellular delivery of the Cas9 nuclease and various reprogramming factors (RFs). Unlike conventional gene editing approaches that rely on viral vectors or lipid nanoparticles to deliver genetic material (DNA or mRNA), iCP-RFs + Cas9 delivers functional proteins directly into the cytoplasm and nucleus of target cells. This protein-based delivery method is designed to minimize off-target effects and genomic integration risks associated with nucleic acid delivery. The technology is intended for applications in therapeutic gene editing and the generation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) for regenerative medicine, although specific clinical indications have not yet been disclosed.
