ICT801 is an autologous CAR-T cell therapy being developed by Innovative Cellular Therapeutics (ICT) for the treatment of prostate cancer. The therapy is engineered to target Prostatic Acid Phosphatase (PAP), an enzyme that is highly expressed in prostate tissue and overexpressed in prostate cancer cells. ICT801 utilizes the company's proprietary CoupledCAR and InvivoCAR technology platforms, which are designed to enhance the expansion, persistence, and efficacy of CAR-T cells within the challenging immunosuppressive microenvironment of solid tumors. The CoupledCAR platform specifically aims to improve the potency of T cells against solid tumors, while InvivoCAR is intended to further optimize therapeutic outcomes. As of early 2024, the candidate is in the Phase 1 stage of development, with an Investigational New Drug (IND) submission anticipated in the second quarter of 2026.
