ICTXX

ICTXX is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody candidate developed by ImCheck Therapeutics that targets members of the butyrophilin-like (BTNL) family of proteins. BTNL proteins are structural homologs of the B7 family of costimulatory molecules and serve as critical regulators of gamma-delta (γδ) T cells, particularly those residing in epithelial tissues. The ICTXX program is designed to modulate the activity of these unconventional T cells to address multiple therapeutic areas: it aims to activate γδ T cells to induce anti-tumor responses in solid tumors and hematological malignancies, while also exploring the potential to suppress γδ T cell activity for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. By targeting the butyrophilin superfamily, ICTXX represents a novel approach to immunotherapy that leverages the unique biology of tissue-resident immune cells.
