ICX-301

ICX-301 is a potent, selective, and orally available small-molecule inhibitor of the androgen receptor (AR) currently in preclinical development by Incurix. Unlike traditional AR antagonists that compete with testosterone for the ligand-binding domain, ICX-301 employs a novel mechanism of action by targeting the protein-DNA interaction interface. By disrupting the binding of the AR transcription factor to its cognate DNA sequences, the drug inhibits AR-driven transcriptional activity. This approach is designed to treat AR-driven malignancies, particularly prostate cancer, including cases that may have developed resistance to conventional hormonal therapies by targeting the transcription factor directly at the DNA binding site.
