Overview

ICX-RHY-013 is an investigational cell therapy consisting of a suspension of cultured allogeneic human dermal fibroblasts. It is administered intradermally and developed primarily for the treatment of skin disorders, with a focus on dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB). The mechanism of action involves modulation of collagen production and remodeling within the skin to promote wound healing and tissue repair. The therapy aims to enhance wound closure, reduce pain and recurrence in chronic skin erosions associated with DEB. Originally developed by Intercytex Ltd., it has also been studied for other indications such as scars (including burn scars), contractures, burns, cicatrix (scarring), and facial skin imperfections[2][3][5][6].
